In an effort to provide educational opportunities for the men and women who serve in our Armed Forces, the University of California has partnered with Governor Schwarzenegger, the California State University, California Community Colleges and the California Department of Veterans Affairs to implement the California Veterans Education Opportunity Partnership. This partnership brings together the higher education, veterans and military communities to make the transition from military service to college a seamless one.
The University of California welcomes individuals who have served or are currently serving in the U.S. Armed Forces to apply for educational opportunities at any of our 10 world-class campuses. Each UC campus provides detailed admission and transfer requirements for veterans, as well as dedicated veteran coordinators who can aid in the benefits process after admission. Veterans applying for undergraduate admission to the University are encouraged to use the personal statement section of the application to describe how their military service has been instrumental in developing their educational plans. Special Instructions for Veterans
